About Vein Care Specialist Arlene Spertus, M.D.

Doctor Arlene Spertus was born in New York, was raised and schooled in Bologna, Italy, and received her medical degree from the University of Rome in 1979.

After graduation, she returned to the U.S. to complete her residency in internal medicine at Long Island College Hospital in New York, where she also had a fellowship in rheumatology. After her residency, she relocated to South Florida.

Dr.Spertus has been practicing medicine in the greater Fort Lauderdale area since 1988. She has expanded her practice to incorporate vein care and is a member of the American College of Phlebology.
